After a 6-month-long strategic planning process evaluating the organization relative to the marketplace and its needs, Information Systems Experts, LLC (ISE) has emerged as an expanded team with a new game plan. What started as a simple assessment revealed the need for the company to broaden its range of services to stay competitive in an increasingly challenging business climate. “In recent years, we have observed our clients placing a high value on thought leadership and an ability to sort out a myriad of business/technology issues. We also believe that technology companies need to elevate their understanding of the business needs behind the technology. That is exactly what we have poised ourselves to do” says president Jeff Hastings. Through the elevation of existing core competencies and staff and the leveraging of key strategic partnerships, the company will now offer a range of services far beyond its application development roots resulting in a more holistic approach to applying technology to business cases. ISE has partnered with a Fortune 500 Intermodal carrier to develop a custom Driver Settlement solution to expedite routine settlement procedures. The application allows drivers to print paperwork from a mobile device to a printer located at the ramp where they work. As a result, the driver can submit all paperwork required for daily settlement electronically. System-generated information capture and verification greatly reduces errors and expedites end-of-shift driver submission requirements. Captured information is indexed and associated with the required PODs, Bills of Lading, Assessorial data relating to a specific move. This new, streamlined driver settlement process will save each driver in the fleet approximately 40 hours per year.
